And she's gone..

1 day down - 546.5 to go.

She's gone folks! Entered the MTC at approximately 1:40 P.M. Those curbside helper missionaries have "getting them gone" down to an art. Maybe it's so fast so that sabotage and get-a-way cars (ahem, rachel) can't occur. Or maybe they just get sick of seeing weepy families clinging to their family members. It's probably the latter.

Before we dropped her off, we made sure to take a bazillion pictures, with three different cameras, hoping to postpone the goodbye part as long as possible. She wouldn't have any stalling though - it was all business. She was ready.

It's pretty neat seeing someone that willing and ready to serve the Lord. I can already start to see why they say families back home are blessed for their family member's decision to serve.

She'll be a great missionary, that one! I can't wait to hear all about it.
(If you need to be added to the mailing list for her email updates let me know in the comments)

See ya in 18, missy pants! And just for keeping up with tradition:
